Process Operators perform a variety of tasks within the Plant or Fixation Department. Process Operators are expected to work outside in all weather conditions or in containment buildings with little heat or air conditioning while wearing personal protective equipment.
The duties include cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of work locations. Complete all Health & Safety and job skills training as required. Load and unload solid waste safely in accordance with company, federal, state guide and local regulations/rules. Or other duties assigned. All personal will be subject to random drug screens.
Knowledge and Abilities:
The Process Operator position can be physically demanding. Good communication skills are a must. Basic knowledge of EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations is preferred but not needed. Operators must have the ability to understand the industry practices, ability to lift 60 lbs. and be able to wear personal protective equipment, including a full face respirator. Willingness to be trained to drive heavy equipment to include trucks and excavators is a plus. Operators must be able to work 8-12 hour days to include nights and or weekends when needed. A positive work ethic is a must.
1 year of related experience and 24-40 hour HAZWOPER certification preferred but not required.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
