East Region Sales Manager

Description:

To support and manage sales goals of Heritage from locations in NY, PA, and eastern OH that cover a service area in 12 different states.

Required Travel.

Duties:

Evaluates possible new business and reviews with Sales personnel and Region Management profitable of proposals.  Assesses potential customer needs and ability to provide service, including expanded service offerings and identifies key factors for failure and success.

Prepares region and territory - specific revenue forecasts to assist in budget preparation and monthly revenue growth (and loss) review

Develops and implements region and territory specific sales strategy.

Participates in negotiations for third party, collection transportation, disposal and recycling services to support core and expanded services offerings

Responsible for submitting monthly financial review/forecasts to Sr. Management.

Assist Sales personnel to increases sales volume of existing accounts through establishing account representative specific revenue targets, regular contact with customers and continues communication about other available services.

Manages Sales personnel review of accounts and sales strategies and tactics to identify methods to improve profitability of existing accounts, with specific emphasis on expanded service offerings.

Oversee the maintenance and services to existing accounts through regular contact with customers, Service Center managers, Customer Service Representative, Account Coordinators and responsible Sales personnel.  Provide insight to expanding relationships through other available services.

Provide training to Sales and Account Coordinators as needed.

Prepares, reviews, submits and interprets weekly and monthly reports on activities, sales volume and expenses to Region Management.

Fosters sales relationship with target accounts.

Attends and participates in sales meetings and training programs; represents company at trade shows and conventions, Chamber of Commerce and professional associations.

Keeps informed on major environmental regulatory changes and industry trends as well as competitive conditions.

 

Qualifications:

Four year college degree required, Masters preferred. Sales, Business, or Science.

Must have a minimum of eight years successful in territory management in the environmental field.

Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.  Strong writing skills. Working understanding of all Heritage Services.  Knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations. Demonstrates success in selling services.

Must be able to travel regularly.
